Alex Sloan, PsyD received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. She earned her doctorate from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California, which emphasized a social-justice and multicultural focus.

Dr. Sloan uses a trauma-informed, attachment focused, and relational style and has received specialized training in Radically-Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Her clinical training has included working with individuals with moderate to severe mental illness, substance use issues, and those in acute crisis. She has worked in an array of settings including residential treatment programs, homeless service centers, hospitals, gender clinics, community mental health clinics, and intensive-outpatient programs.

As the Clinical Director of Camden Center San Francisco, Dr. Sloan oversees and supports the specialized integrative healthcare team and provides direct client care in the form of individual and group therapies in the RO-DBT, addiction, and EOS programs.
