Amanda Sommers, LCSW, received her bachelor’s degree in child development from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and her Master of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts.

Amanda is an attachment-focused, psychodynamically trained clinician who has worked in a range of settings, including home and community-based programs, schools, and clinics. She previously worked as a program manager and clinical supervisor for community-based mental health programs, providing services to individuals impacted by complex trauma.

Amanda has also provided training and consultation to clinicians to support them in integrating substance abuse treatment into their work.

At Camden Center, Amanda provides individual psychotherapy. She uses a strengths-based approach to support the resiliency and uniqueness of each patient.
