Derek Tywoniuk, PhD, CADC earned his PhD in Music Composition and Theory from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Following a career change to behavioral health, he has since worked as a case manager and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and is currently completing a Master of Science in Counseling at California State University, Los Angeles.

At Camden Center, Derek develops and implements systems for enhancing continuing care, working in consultation with each patient and their clinical team to identify and enact constituent components of their comprehensive aftercare plan. He also generates and edits a variety of communications materials, drawing upon his extensive academic background.
