Kate Roahrig, LMFT, received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Indiana University and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) by the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification™.
Kate has clinical experience in residential, outpatient, and in-home treatment settings working with patients struggling with emotional, mood, psychotic, and personality disorders.
She also worked as a therapist, group facilitator, and family program facilitator at a comprehensive DBT treatment program in Los Angeles.
Kate previously worked with Dr. John Briere, PhD, and Dr. Randye Semple, PhD, studying the genetics of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in patients admitted to the trauma units at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center.
Kate is an adjunct professor in the master’s program at Pepperdine.
At Camden Center, Kate facilitates DBT skills groups and provides comprehensive individual DBT to patients.
